Planting tips

The best planting period for all nursery varieties is when they are dormant, from late fall to as early in spring as possible, if the ground is not frozen. Planting young forest and hedging trees should be carefully carried out in order to ensure the regrowth of your planting material. The most delicate part of the plant is the root system. Ensure that the roots are kept moist in the period between purchase and planting and that they are protected against the wind and sun. If you cannot immediately plant your trees, heel them in in a shady area, making a deep gutter wide enough to comfortably accommodate the root system. Make sure that the roots are covered and moist. In this way your plants can easily survive a few days.
